The number of residential properties sold across New Zealand in December 2019 increased by 12.3% from the same time last year to 6,285 up from 5,596 (689 more properties).

The number of residential properties sold across New Zealand in November decreased by -1.9% from the same time last year to 7,405 down from 7,550 (145 fewer properties), although it was the highest number sold since May this year.

The number of properties sold across the country fell by -4.0% when compared to the same time last year; but with a number of people aiming to sell their home before the foreign buyer ban came into effect at the end of October 2018, it’s not surprising that the number of properties sold fell when compared to last year.
