Southern Wide is a great company, they complement our business well. We are confident that they will help take our true team offering right across the country.
Property Brokers' Chief Executive Officer, Bill Highet, says, "We are excited about this opportunity as it further strengthens our position in the local market. As one of the largest non-franchised real estate companies in New Zealand, this move further reinforces our presence in the Otago Region."
Continuing, "We have found real synergy between the Southern Wide Otago team and our people. Southern Wide Otago has a long history and is well respected. Welcoming them into the Property Brokers family feels like a great fit, we are excited to be joining forces."
The real estate business of Southern Wide Otago will merge with Property Brokers Limited; the changeover date is set as Wednesday, 30th September 2020.
John Faulks, Managing Director Otago / Rural Sales of Southern Wide Otago, says, "It is with great excitement that we are joining the New Zealand family-owned business of Property Brokers. We are in the envious position that the two cultures are very similar, and we will be able to add more value to our staff and clients with their superior systems, structures and nationwide network. These factors, combined with Property Brokers' regional focus on being part of the local community, will allow us to grow our people and client base and thrive in the Otago Region."
Southern Wide General Manager, Russell Lundy, agrees, saying, "Joining the Property Brokers family offers an exciting opportunity for Southern Wide to strengthen and expand its service offering in the greater Otago area. Being part of Property Brokers gives us the scope and scale to achieve so much more with its enhanced systems and strategic partnerships. Why Property Brokers? They're a trusted, respected and loved real estate brand. Good honest provincial people - just like us."
The announcement of the merger with Southern Wide Otago further broadens that dominant footprint and scale, adding more resources, and resulting in improved service for customers.
